Dan Sullivan is Executive Vice President and serves on the TBM Board of Directors. He leads the firm’s North American consulting operations. He is a coach at heart and is passionate about operational excellence, cultural change and results.

Dan joined TBM as a team leader and helped the company expand operations throughout North America and into Mexico and Brazil. 

Dan joined TBM in 1994 and became a partner in 2000. Prior to joining TBM,

Dan served as Director of Body Engineering at Nissan Motor Manufacturing Corporation. During his tenure at Nissan, he held several progressively responsible roles in engineering and operations. Dan is considered to be a subject matter expert in the Toyota Production System. In fact, he studied lean with the Japanese and established Nissan’s shop floor improvement system called Nissan Gemba Kanri in the late 1980s.

He is recognized and often requested by clients for his deep experience in establishing leadership and management systems that support sustainable high performance. He is adept at motivating teams and has remained a trusted advisor to many executives including a 17-year relationship with Pella Corporation. Most recently, Dan is working directly with senior leaders at Pactiv Corporation, Carlisle Companies and John Deere to implement lean business systems, drive cultural change, and align continuous improvement initiatives to key strategic objectives. He helps clients develop, implement and perfect their management process with Hoshin Kanri (Strategy Deployment / Policy Deployment) to achieve breakthrough objectives.

Dan has a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
